Aluminum shavings are a byproduct of milling and grinding metal operations. Shavings are produced from the shaving or cutting of metal and then collected for recycling. Nanocrystalline structures have been found in metal shavings, which possess traits of high strength and wear resistance. Aluminum Shavings are thin strips of ribbons. Shavings are also useful in any application where high surface areas are desired such as water treatment and in fuel cell and solar applications.
